New Bosch 10-Inch Single-Bevel Slide Miter Professional Precision, Performance and Durability
Mount Prospect, Ill., – Bosch Power Tools and Accessories will soon expand its miter saw line with the launch of the new 4405 10-inch Single-Bevel Slide Miter Saw with Up-front Controls. Replacing the earlier generation model 3915, the 4405 promises the precision and durability carpenters, installers, and woodworkers demand.
Whether cutting for stairs, cabinets, trim/molding or any other project, professionals and serious users demand an easy-to-use, precise and durable saw out-of-the-box. Bosch-exclusive Up-front Controls make bevel and miter adjustments quick and easy by eliminating the need to reach around the back of the saw to adjust settings. Now, all lock-off levers and controls are positioned front and center for fast and precise adjustments whether on the jobsite or in a shop.
Professional-grade power and precision is essential and the 4405’s 13 Amp motor powers 4,700 RPM, more then enough for optimal productivity. The Bosch-exclusive wedge miter detent system compensates for wear over time to guarantee accurate miters for the life of the tool. Furthermore, the Bosch cast in miter scale will not wear. And for professionals looking to save time and increase accuracy, the 4405 includes an integrated stop at 45 degrees for basic right angle cuts for general moulding, plus a 31.6 degree miter stop and 33.9 degree bevel stop for quick and easy corner angle cuts on crown moulding. The miter detent override trigger enables the miter angle to be set anywhere within the saw’s range, while the Bosch-patented miter locking system is a definitive improvement over the previous generation.
Additional stand-out features include a soft-grip horizontal handle with an ambidextrous lockout switch for comfortable use all day. A quick-release fence complete with scales slides left with ease, while dual sliding outfeeds extend material support from 21 to 36-inches and lock into place. An ergonomic carry handle located on the top of the saw simplifies transport.
Important capacities to note include:
• Cuts 12-inch base molding laying flat
• Cuts 10-1/4-inch crown molding lying flat (using 31-degree miter and 33.9-degree bevel settings to make cuts for 90-degree corners)
• Cuts 4-1/4-inch crown molding against fence
• Cuts 3-1/2-inch base against fence
Some important performance features to note include:
• 45-degree miter, 0-degree bevel = 3-19/32-inch x 8-inch (4x8 material)
• 0-degree miter, 45-degree left bevel = 2-1/4 inch x 12-inch (3x12 material)
• Miter range: 52-degree left to 60-degree right
• Bevel range: 45-degree left to 0-degree right
• Able to use crown stop accessories
